** It was a cold one but Austin rallied to support our artists!

Hi Everyone,
The 2013 fair was a super success and I want to personally thank our artists (http://www.cherrywoodartfair.org/artists-information/2013-artists), shoppers, sponsors (http://www.cherrywoodartfair.org/2013-sponsors), staff (http://www.cherrywoodartfair.org/about/team), volunteers, musicians (http://www.cherrywoodartfair.org/2013-lineup), community partners and food vendors (http://www.cherrywoodartfair.org/food-vendors) for braving the cold! Everyone pulled together and really made this year’s fair a very special, festive event. I loved seeing everyone’s crazy hats, sweaters & gloves and also enjoyed watching our fabulous bands and adorable children making art. Our artist relief crews, food vendors and new Shuttle Service provided hot drinks, yummy food & warm transport to fairgoers. We had over 8,000 visitors and great artists sales – despite the weather!
As for 2014, in addition to planning this year’s fair, Chula League is also gearing up for our other main program Little Artist BIG ARTIST. If the Art Fair is the ‘heart’ of our organization, then LaBA is certainly the ‘soul’ as it focuses on providing art and opportunity to fifth graders in under-resourced elementary schools. Our fantabulous program coordinator Jennifer Ramos has paired up 25 Little Artists with professional BIG ARTISTS. I cannot wait to see the art projects they will create and display at the Pump Project Art Complex later this Spring. Want to get involved? Proceeds from CAF help fund Little Artist BIG ARTIST but with your support as well, we can continue to provide truly unique artistic & mentoring experiences to promising young artists. To date, Chula League has donated over $55,000 in grants, services and programming to East Austin neighborhoods and elementary schools.
