All Things Wild All Things Wild

10am – 5pm | SUNDAY | By the South Entrance (by picnic table)

All Things Wild Rehabilitation (ATW) volunteers rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick, injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife in Central Texas (Austin and surrounding communities). Volunteers also educate the public about local wildlife and provide sanctuary to animals in need.

They will be bringing one of their rehabilitators either a raccoon or an opossum (both education animals). They will also have an animal footprint matching game for children in grades 3 and above. There will also be a domestic vs. wild animal sorting game for children in grade 2 and younger.

Austin Pets Austin Pets Alive

10am – 5pm | Sunday | Maplewood Entrance

Austin Pets Alive! is not your average animal shelter. We maintain comprehensive, innovative programs designed to save the animals most at risk for euthanasia. Come pet foster dogs and learn more about pet adoptions and everything we do!

Break It Down Break it Down

Upcycled Holiday Decoration Activity will take place at booth

Break it Down’s vision is to maximize the diversion of materials from the landfill in a manner which creates the highest social and economic value. They are constantly at work to expand the types of materials which they can accept, and to process them in a manner which creates the highest possible benefit to Austin. Recycling education table.

Circus of Hope Circus of Hope

10am – 5pm | ALL WEEKEND | Basketball Court

Circus of Hope’s mission is to empower youth with confidence and a safe creative learning environment, with focus on special needs and at-risk children, through traditional and adaptive circus arts programming. We will be providing ambient aerial performances on Sunday and interactive circus activities all day Saturday at our booth.

Fifth Dimension Books Fifth Dimension Books

We are delighted to announce one of Austin’s favorite storytime with Sukyi McMahon and the Fifth Dimension Books bookmobile! Sukyi will be reading fun, interactive stories to kids and grown-ups alike.

Fifth Dimension Books is a mighty, yet miniature mobile mover of literature. They bring to the streets of Austin, Texas, an out-of-this-world selection of sci-fi, fantasy, and fringe books that will astound and amaze casual readers and aficionados, alike.

Food is Free Food is Free

10am – 5pm | All Weekend | Basketball Court

The Food is Free Project (501c3 Nonprofit) grows community and food, while helping gain independence from a broken agricultural system. The Food is Free Project is a community building and gardening movement that launched in January of 2012. They teach you how to connect with your neighbors and line your street with front yard community gardens which provide free harvests to anyone.

Gardenheads Gardenheads

10am – 3pm | All Weekend | Basketball Court

At their booth they will be offering gardening activities for the kids.
Gardensheads Camp is the perfect introduction to organic gardening for children. Each camp day includes YOGA, GARDENING, and ART. Their completely enclosed backyard and great Camp House provides all the space and comfort needed for camp.

Girlstart Girlstart

Girlstart’s mission is to increase girls’ interest and engagement in STEM through innovative, nationally-recognized informal STEM education programs. Girlstart aspires to be the national leader in designing and implementing innovative, high quality informal STEM education programs that inspire girls to transform our world.

LASA Robotics LASA Robotics

Unlike other high school organizations, FIRST teams do more than compete. All students are encouraged to participate in robot demos and outreach activities. For example, our team introduces young students to robotics through our SMART Camps (science, math and robotics, technology camps). These student-run camps have served over 1,000 Austin area students.

Austin Texas Rollergirls Inc, Rock’n’Rollerderby®, dba Texas Rollergirls, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity amateur sports organization dedicated to playing and promoting the sport of Women’s Flat Track Derby. We provide superior athleticism every time we play and are committed to introducing new fans to our revolutionary sport.

This Fall and Winter, their Bloodstream trailer will be touring all around Central Texas, just hanging out and reconnecting with the community they love. They’re partnering with other iconic, local institutions to remind everyone in their community to give where you live.

Yellow Bike Project Yellow Bike Project

10am – 5pm | All Weekend | Basketball Court

At the booth there will be a work station for kids to get their hands dirty learning how to overhaul a one-piece crank on a bicycle — which is a handy skill to know for many childrens’ bicycles! Families will also learn how they can get involved at Yellow Bike Project, where they can build their mechanic skills, work on their own bikes, help build bikes for refugees or other communities in need, or all three!

For the demo there will be a little fix a flat demo to get folks comfortable with the most useful bicycle maintenance skill!

Yellow Bike Project is a volunteer-powered initiative to put bicycles on the streets of Austin and Central Texas by operating community bike shops, teaching bike mechanics and maintenance, and acting as a local bike advocacy group. Join us for our fun, interactive bike maintenance workshop just for kids!
