On Saturday, Austin Creative Reuse helps you make your own craft in the Kids Art Corner. Austin Creative Reuse unites the community by hosting a range of events, activities and classes that bring people together to build awareness around conscious consumption, sustainability and art.

Austin Pets Austin Pets Alive

Austin Pets Alive! is not your average animal shelter. We maintain comprehensive, innovative programs designed to save the animals most at risk for euthanasia. Come pet foster dogs and learn more about pet adoptions and everything we do!

Austin Resource Recovery Austin Resource Recovery

Composting can be all fun and games, if you know how to do it! Learn more about the advantages of converting your food scraps, pizza boxes, yard trimmings and other compostable items into community resources from representatives of the City’s Curbside Composting Collection program, which recently expanded into 38,000 Austin households. The program is part of the City’s Zero Waste goal to divert 90 percent of materials from landfills by 2040. Come see how fun it is to play games and win prizes at the composting booth at the Cherrywood Art Fair!

Girlstart aspires to be the national leader in designing and implementing innovative, high quality informal STEM education programs that inspire girls to transform our world. Join Girlstart to design your own unique holiday card that can light up! Build your circuit using a coin battery, conductive copper tape, and an LED light; then channel your inner artist to decorate the front of your card.

Groundwork Music Project Groundwork Music Project

Groundwork Music Project enhances the lives of children by providing free and low cost music classes to preschools with limited means. They will be giving ukulele demonstrations for all ages to show the versatility and expressive value of the instrument.

Latinitas Latinitas

Latinitas is dedicated to empowering Latina youth to innovate through media and technology and are focused on informing, entertaining, and inspiring young Latinas to to become confident and successful. They will be having a “make your own maracas” activity at their table as well as info about their programs.

Urban Roots Urban Roots

Urban Roots uses food and farming to transform the lives of young people and inspire, engage, and nourish the community. They will be providing information about their programs and interactive activities for kids of all ages including a game “Name that Seed.” Identify 5 out of 9 seeds correctly and you will win a prize!
