Summer is almost here, and that means it’s Cherrywood Art Fair go time! Chula League is looking for some talented folks to join the fun, and help us make our fair even better than last year. We have seasonal positions available such as Artist Coordinator, Media & Marketing Manager, Public Relations Manager and more. Our staff has a love for supporting local creatives and promoting the handmade and artist community. Are you into those things, too? Cherrywood Art Fair does more than support the local independent art scene by giving artists an affordable, well attended event to showcase their work. The proceeds from application and booth fees funds our Little Artist BIG ARTIST program, which partners local professional artists with East Austin 5th & 6th graders in an art mentorship that teaches them that an art career is a viable option. From imagination to their final pieces being auctioned at the fair, kids in our program truly go on a real world artistic journey.

This year marks our 15th anniversary, and we hope to see new and familiar faces come celebrate with us! To get your application gears rolling here’s some info to keep in mind…
The CAF application is an online, juried process. You can only submit three photos, so make those photos count, as that’s all the jurors will see from applicants. We’ll be sharing some helpful tips in next month’s newsletter. Key dates and application fees:
* Friday, July 15: Artist application period opens
* Monday, August 15: Early bird artist application due date
* Thursday, September 1: Final artist application closes (higher fees will apply)
Application fees: $25 thru August 15 or $40 from August 16 – September 1.
